What We Do

Anchor Support Group provides practical, hands-on disability support tailored to everyday life. We focus on helping people manage daily tasks, stay connected in their community, and build confidence and independence through consistent, reliable support. Our team works alongside participants and families to make supports simple, flexible and genuinely useful, not overwhelming or complicated.

Personal care & in-home support

Support with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, meal preparation, medication prompts and household routines. We focus on maintaining dignity and independence while helping you feel comfortable and supported in your own home.

2

Community access & social outings

Assistance to stay involved in the community — attending appointments, shopping, social activities, events, hobbies or simply getting out for a coffee or walk. We support confidence, participation and connection, not just transport from A to B.

3

Life skills & capacity building

Practical support to build everyday skills such as cooking, cleaning, time management, budgeting, communication and self-care. We work alongside you to strengthen independence and confidence at your pace.

4

Transport Support

Safe, reliable transport to appointments, school, work, programs, therapy and community activities, with support workers who can stay with you throughout the activity if needed.

5

Overnight and extended support

Sleepover, active overnight or extended hour supports for people who need assistance outside typical daytime hours. This may include reassurance, personal care, medication prompts or safety monitoring.

6

Companionship & mentoring

Support focused on building social connection, confidence and emotional wellbeing. This may include conversation, outings, activities, interest-based mentoring and simply having someone there who understands and listens.
